hela Sverige We are now looking for a Production development Engineer with a focus on Electrical or Mechatronic engineering technology, to our production development unit in Västerås. The department consists of 14 employees and is working on the development of our highly-automated and constantly evolving production systems. Our mission is to develop manufacturing, logistics, processes, methods, tools / fixtures, product & material flows, IS / IT production and industrialization.
As a Production development Engineer, you will work in an international environment where your main task will be to ensure that our production segments are world-class based on the Lean principles. You will play a key-role in the improvement work - you will identify and recommend improvement opportunities and implement improvement projects. The main focus for this role will be testing equipment and in close cooperation with R&D you will contribute to development of and investments in new testing equipment as well.
In close collaboration with your colleagues will you improve manufacturing flow and working methods, as well as machine optimization and production equipment while focusing on safety, quality, availability, productivity and work environment. Moreover, you will process strategic and operational issues as well as train and coach your colleagues.

As a foundation, you hold a high school diploma or relevant university degree, preferably in Electrical or Mechatronic engineering. You have passion for technology, production and development. In case you do not have a university degree we request several years' experience from working in a similar role in Production Technology, Automation, Production Development and Lean manufacturing. Experience from Project Management is beneficial.
Proficiency in English and Swedish is a must, written and spoken alike.

You will be part of Control Products in Västerås. We belong to ABB's division Electrification Products. Control Products in Västerås is globally responsible for development, manufacturing and sales of low voltage products such as large contactors, soft starters, push buttons and arc guards. The production consists of both assembly and manufacturing lines with a high level of automation. The assembly lines contain both manual and automatic work and the technology includes robots, lasers, test equipment, automatic machines and controlled lines. The equipment for our own manufacturing consists of machines such as presses, coil machines, and injection molding machines for plastic. The production has approximately 150 employees.
