You will actively work with all aspects of the brewery and packaging site via an experienced team of brewers and operators. You will ensure high level of quality and will have the overall responsibility a flow of new initiatives in line with business strategies and plans.
Your role will involve many different tasks including some hands-on production (from brewhouse through to packaging), supporting recipe creation, part of making purchasing decisions and generally ensuring smooth operation of the brewery and the packaging site. You will be handling a high-level complexity as we are extending our portfolio of both 1PP and 2PP products. You will be instrumental in integrating new business as well handling all stakeholders internally and externally. You will need to be experienced in working in a commercial scale brewery and have good knowledge of all brewhouse, fermentation, maturation, process and packaging operations. You are highly motivated and will contribute to our desire for continuous improvement both in terms of quality and best working practices. You will also be involved with creative decisions regarding which styles of beer to produce and recipe design. You are team-focused and is able to maintain trusting, professional relationships with your colleagues.
Your day-today tasks will include;
o Lead all budgeting and financial processes for the production
o Align total production from brew to packaged goods
o Manage daily production administration.
o Day to day supervisor /support to Brew Master and Packaging and Process Mgr
o All 2PP alignment in integrating new products
o New business and innovations lead
o Lead business systems optimization and cost efficiency
o Support, drive and develop the product development within the territory
o Build capabilities and culture in brewery
o Be part of the leadership team
Job Requirements;
- You have a recognized diploma qualification in brewery operations or alternatively a degree in biology, microbiology, chemistry, chemical engineering, food science or food technology
- You have at least 5 years experience of a leading role in a commercial brewery (preferably automated to some degree)
- You have a proven record in building strong teams
• You have strong analytical skills that will guide you in optimizing cost and production efficiency in the whole chain of production
• You have good communication skills and has a proven record of navigating in and building your cases in larger organizations.
• You have proven ability to turn product innovations into strong business opportunities
The Brewery:
Nya Carnegiebryggeriet (NCB) is a craft brewery situated in Hammarby Sjöstad, Stockholm. Founded as a collaboration between The Brooklyn Brewery and Carlsberg, production started in 2014 and volumes have risen steadily. Since October 2020 we have added a filling and packaging site close to the brewery. NCB is part of a wider group of craft breweries which are affiliated to both The Brooklyn Brewery and the Carlsberg group.
