As Product Stewardship Specialist within the Responsible Care department you will be part of the Product Stewardship team that supports the organization to manufacture, handle, store and distribute the products according to legal requirements and company values. You will also facilitate or lead improvement projects in the field of expertise as well as be a specialist function supporting the organization in Product Stewardship and related regulations (esp. REACH), chemistry (incl. CAS registry) and substance identification. You will actively take part of Perstorp?s effort to work according to the Global initiative of Responsible Care within Product Stewardship and support the organization?s ambitions to be successful in this field.
Examples of responsibilities:
• Manage registrations and notifications needed for products to be manufactured/ imported or placed on the market.
• Understand the whole value chain from raw materials to final application and support the organization within the field of Product Stewardship by facilitating or leading improvement projects.
• Develop and/or contribute to the Product Stewardship processes and standards. Including implementation and follow up by audits.
• Represent Perstorp in national and international cooperation organizations and trade associations.
• Create and publish Safety Data Sheets and manage related product data administration.
• Develop Hazard Labels and manage related product data administration.
• Develop training material and educate relevant personnel in the organization when needed within the Product Stewardship field.
• Maintain digital and when appropriate physical archive of information relevant for Perstorp products.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Education comparable to Master of Science in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering.
• Preferably experience of working in industry and/or within authorities.
• Preferably experience of working with Product Stewardship and related regulations.
• Knowledge of chemistry and substance identification.
• Meriting is knowledge of Perstorp product?s properties and impact on human health and the environment.
• Minimum requirement is speaking, writing and reading fluently in English. Speaking, writing and reading Swedish is not a requirement but is a facilitation factor.
• Good computer skills.
• Good communication skills.
We are looking for a competent person able to work on a detailed level such as managing registrations and other assignments for legal compliance but who at the same time have great capacity to see the bigger picture and support the organization in Product Stewardship throughout the product life cycle.
