hela Sverige The department Global Technical Service, within Quality & Customer satisfaction (QCS) is a part of the central support to the Volvo Bus Corporation (VBC) business regions and aftermarket organizations.
Global Technical Service delivers support in technical product related problems to our Market Clusters and Importers via Argus cases.
With onsite support, Technical Service also develops and communicates service solutions. We also act as a back office for TDS Technical Team in Ghent which is the front line support to dealers and customers. As a part of the VBC quality process (PRP) where we are handling MQR's (Market Quality Reports) and acts as a link between the market and design departments within the company.
We are now looking for a Product Specialist within area Transmissions and Rear Axles.
Tasks:
Each Product Specialist at Global Technical Service has its own assigned area of responsibility, your area will be:
• Transmission
• Clutch
• Prop Shaft
• Rear Axle
As Product Specialist you will, globally, work with all product related concerns that might occur within your area.
You will be the communicating link for our Market Clusters and Importers to our design departments.
Location is Gothenburg but the job involves frequent travelling, sometimes with short notice.
A majority of the time is spent at the office where you work with computer based support systems, mail and phone, as well as participating in different forums.

You need to have the interest and talent to support our customers, carry out investigations on our products and report findings in a professional way. Since we often work in cross-functional teams social skills and a professional manner in both writing and verbal is very important. The job involves both internal and external contacts, globally.
Experience from heavy vehicles is required combined with strong analytic skills.
You are used to travel alone, within and outside Europe.
Language: Fluent English, both in writing and verbal is required. Further language skills are considered as an additional qualification.
Education: You have an education as vehicle mechanic and upper secondary school, Technical High School or Technical University.
Miscellaneous: Driving license for car is necessary and for bus is considered as an additional qualification.
