Then this might be the challenge you have been looking for, as this role allows you to do both!Product Specialist PT ProductsSKF Power Transmission develop, produce and sell product in Power Transmission such as couplings, bolts, chains, sprockets, belt, bushings, pulleys and hubs. Required in virtually every industry, our power transmission solutions enable processes to run by connecting moving parts in machinery.Product Development within Power Transmission consist of nine engineers. Six engineers are located in Hofors, Sweden working with rigid couplings and bolts and three engineers are located in Singapore working with flexible coupling, chains, belts, bushings, sprockets, etc. Many of our products are customized to specified customer requirements. We are now strengthening the engineering team for the Singapore product range with an engineer located in Hofors.As Product Specialist PT Products, you will be the link between the SKF Sales units and the supplier factories, making sure the customers get what they require. You will work in close cooperation with SKF PT Engineering in Singapore and support our Sales units with technical inquires as well as be responsible for providing drawings for specific inquires and give technical support to our customers.As Product Specialist you will also be involved in implementing Creo Cad for Singapore products and develop our processes and way of working, for example set up drawing models for our standard products in Creo.Furthermore we would like to extend and further improve our knowledge sharing and awareness between Hofors and Singapore, hence you will also be a part in driving our two engineering teams together to become one unit, so that we can take advantage of our different knowledges.Your day-to-day work * Liaise to the factory for all technical inquiries as needed by the customer* Oversee and ensure the completion of technical inquiries in a timely and complete manner* Approve all drawings for production according to customer specifications and requirements* Provide technical design drawings as requested by the Sales Unit for project proposals, confirmation and sign-off* Manage and create Creo CAD models for PT Singapore ProductsWe expect you to have/be* University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equal competence* Fluent in English, preferable also in Swedish* Excellent skills in drawing Techniques* Good skills in CAD, preferable in CREO (Pro/E) och Autocad* Experience from direct contact with customers and suppliers, preferably in an international working environment* Availability to travel to our unit in Singapore and to our factories in China and South Korea* Previous experience in working with Power Transmission production is a plusYou will enjoy working here if you... have a strong technical interest and are self-driven as well as enjoy taking initiatives and see them through.
