Axis initiative within Audio is a new area that will expand rapidly and becoming increasingly important as part of the total offering to the market.
We will therefore continue to strengthen the New Business team with another Product Specialist.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As Product Specialist for Axis Audio products within our New Business Team, you will work closely with the product manager, managing the life of existing products and providing valuable input to the definition of new ones. You will work as team together with our Product Specialist for Access Control. All Axis Audio products are designed in-house and as part of the R&D projects you are expected to provide expert input on customer needs and issues as well as represent product management. You will also be responsible for handling the complex support cases escalated from our local technical service teams worldwide. Your work can be divided into four general areas:
• Solve customer cases: Solve and prioritize support cases of a high complexity, either on your own, or in close cooperation with Axis engineers.
• Take part in the development of new products and new firmware, as an expert on customer needs, expectations and requirements.
• Maintain and develop product functionality: Identify new requirements, plan for new and maintain existing functionality, assist in pre-sales issues, etc.
• Drive competence: The product specialist team owns the internal and external product information pages and writes technical notes, FAQs and white papers.
The role involves some travelling, 15-30 days a year.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a driven and structured individual with experience and talent in problem solving. We believe you have a service minded attitude and that you are practical when it comes to technical matters, as you will need to do hands-on product testing and product evaluation. It is of great value if you have technical knowledge and experience from installing and working with Audio products and/or IP network products.
You have great social skills and an ability to manage and perform in a multi-cultural environment with international contacts. You are always open to customers and colleagues, contributing to a good team spirit and a productive environment. Furthermore we believe you have:
• At least 5 years work experience.
• A pedagogic approach, both spoken and written, when explaining technical matters
• A deep understanding of technical matters and preferably experience of test procedures, trouble-shooting and product evaluation.
• Experience from working in development projects and of creating training materials
• Interest in and experience of documentation, including reviewing manuals and guides, updates and corrections to web pages, web-based tools, internal support information, etc.
• Excellent English skills, written and verbal.
• Swedish language skills: not essential, but a distinct advantage.
THE NEW BUSINESS TEAM
The New Business team is a unique group within Axis.
The group is responsible for both evaluating new business ideas from a technical and a commercial perspective, and product development to offer customers the best products on the market. The team has market oriented business development resources as well as product development resources. The team's focus is on ideas outside Axis current focus on Network Video. The ambition is to leverage on Axis existing expertise and capacity which will require a flexible and open co-operation with R&D and other departments.
