hela Sverige Sandvik Mining and Construction (SMC) is a world-leading supplier of equipment and complete solutions for the mining and construction industries. SMC's production unit in Svedala is a global development center for stone crushers, which are used in mining, quarries and the construction industry. The site is divided into three main areas of operation: foundry (Wear Parts), mechanical workshop (Parts) and assembling (Assembly).
SMC is now looking for a Product Specialist for crushing. This full time position is based in Svedala, Sweden but the holder must be prepared to travel to all geographical regions.
Key performance areas
As Product Specialist for mining crushers, you will give technical and commercial support to the regional sales staff and Product Line Managers. Your main task will be to provide support for operational sales and marketing to ensure/increase global sales volumes and profitability for the production line. Your main focus will be to:
• Support the regions with technical data, flow sheet diagrams and installation data, as well as conducting sales technical training
• In cooperation with the PLM, monitor the product line's commercial competiveness by keeping up-to-date with respect to market developments and bench-marking, including market share, profitability (GGP), competitors' sales volume, pricing and product/application development
• Visit key customers in conjunction with the CS sales team to provide in depth technical sales-related knowledge. This will include developing direct customer relationships with key clients and helping the aftermarket teams to introduce their services
• Give feedback to the Marketing/Communication organisation on the promotional and marketing material needed
• Monitor and give feedback on customer pricing in the different regions
• Build strong relationships and network with the regional and local sales teams, as well as other regional sales channels
Your profile
The successful candidate has a technical university degree. Previous experience within crushing is a requirement.
As an individual you are outgoing, flexible and responsible, with an independent and driven way of working. To succeed in the role of product specialist you need to be service oriented and quality conscious, with profound technical knowledge. The job entails frequent contact with customers and various sales companies; therefore, you need good presentation skills as well as the ability to share your knowledge with others and to build long-term relationships. Since you will be working for a global company, you need to communicate well in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
