hela Sverige We are now looking for a Product Specialist for Welding Products within the Global Welding team, to take part in our journey to maintain and strengthen our position as world leading technology suppliers of welding products. The location for this position is Sandviken, but with regular travelling globally as part of the role. We find it exciting how this role has frequent customer interaction, and a great chance to influence our product and value offering by introducing customer needs internally and acting on this together with sales, product management and R&D.
Job Summary
Your main tasks are to generate offers and lead times against sales requests, including verification of approved specifications from customers. Providing technical support to GPM:s (Global product managers) and sales teams, which includes delivery testing, sites visits and technical investigations. Overall you are the one providing technical support and know how in welding discussions (both internally and externally). Also, you support the development of the welding strip and flux productportfolio and develop business tools for marketing and sales team in the daily work. Additionally, you contribute in the work with key customers and other contacts within the industry to promote Sandvik welding products, and take an active role in the marketing team and feed R&D with assignments in order to evaluate products.
You have at least a bachelor's degree with a relevant technical orientation. Furthermore, you have training in, and at least a few years' experience from, the welding area. This has given you strong knowledge about welding technology and applicable testing, as well as the production process of welding products. It would be beneficial to have IWS/IWE certification (international welding specialist engineer training).

To be successful in this role you have the ability to build, develop and maintain good customer relations, and fully understand and act on customer needs. This as you are the bridge between the customer and the company, feeding customer input and requirements into the company. You are business orientated, skilled in handling numbers as product costings calculations, creation of budget, etc. In short you are the welding guru technically, but with the customer interaction and business acumen to identify value we can provide our customers. To succeed with this you must also be a good team player who establishes effective and constructive collaboration internally.
