Unit/Department you will be part of
The Husqvarna chainsaw team is the core of our 327 year old company. The chainsaw team is responsible for the portfolio of petrol consumer, arborist and forestry saws including pole saws and equipment for emerging markets.
As part of the petrol handheld category, you will be a member of the team managing all aspects of both commercial and consumer forestry and landscape products.
Your role
As Product Specialist for consumer chainsaws, you will be the champion of the product and the expert in the equipment's application and customer. You will maintain and develop the portfolio of products throughout its life cycle and provide input to the strategic roadmaps.
You will focus on understanding customer needs and the dynamics of the business of the hobby chainsaw user.
Your primarily task will be to deliver insights and the voice-of-the-customer in to the development and management of the product range.
You will be involved in all aspects of the product management cycle; from concept evaluation, product specification, monitoring of project development, product introduction/training and creating market messaging and point-of-sales materials, and more.
The essential duties will also involve tasks such as product presentations, testing, quality improvements and competitor benchmarking.
You will report to Director Global Product Management - Chainsaws.
As Husqvarna is distributed globally, frequent international travelling is required.
Who you are
Education:
University degree in marketing, business, engineering, forestry or similar experience.
Desired Experience:
Practical work experience from the arboriculture, forestry or agriculture industry and usage of related products is considered as a strong merit
Understanding and experience of relevant consumer and professional segments
Hands-on practical knowledge of two stroke equipment.
Communication skills in Swedish and English. Other languages such as French, German, Spanish or Chinese are beneficial.

You will be a self-starter and be a natural project leader. You should have a strong drive, a strong sense of urgency, excellent communication skills and good presentation abilities.
