hela Sverige As Safety Engineer you have the responsibility to make sure that the design and development of the safety products for our Onboard systems is done in a way that assures safety throughout the product's life-cycle.
Your role within a project will be to plan and execute the necessary technical and operational safety analyses together with our technical experts, and also to coordinate the safety-related tasks, in order to get a successful safety approval of our product.
Your Key responsibilities
• Plan and perform the risk, hazard and safety analysis such as FMEA, FTA etc.
• Maintain the hazard log, compile the product's safety case and generate appropriate evidence for functional and technical safety.
• Plan, guide and drive the project's safety related tasks, according to company quality and safety procedures as well as CENELEC standards.
• Support the system development and test engineers in safety related design decision and make sure that the product provides the required functional and technical safety. Ensure close cooperation with external safety stakeholders such as independent validator, customer safety manager, independent safety assessor, certification body and national safety approval authority.
• Report to Project Manager
Your background for this challenging and awarding position can be different. You have experience in product development and/or testing, preferable of safety software products, and we can learn you about product safety analyses and approval; or you have experience with product safety and we can learn you about our safety products.
Master degree or higher education in Engineering and 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in structured R&D project lifecycle.
Alternatively, Bachelor of Science and 8 years of work experience
Excellent understanding of concepts and procedures within Safety Engineering is an advantage.
Good knowledge of development of safety critical architecture and requirement management is an advantage
Knowledge of CENELEC standards, Safety Standard (IEC/ISO) and/ or European Rail Traffic Management System standards and regulations.
Good experience of rail signalling is an advantage.
SW design or testing experience is an advantage
Well organized and structured, with the ability to work effectively against deadlines.
Capable of coordinating work within the project and handling conflict resolutions.
Fluent in English and good communication skills
