About the position
The Product Planning team is part of the Product Planning & Product Management organization within UIQ Technology. We are looking for 2-3 planners to start during Q1-08.
Responsibilities
• Understand and contribute to the company's business strategy
• Understand our customers visions, our competitive situation and key operator visions
• Understand technology trends and identify market opportunities
• Provide a view on the future market direction
• Short and long term definition of the overall Product Strategy and Roadmap
• Feature and technology requirement definitions
• To work in close collaboration with our technology experts and architects in feature break-down and requirement definition
• To cooperate with the Product Managers in the definition phase of the UIQ Product Release
• To interact with customers to sell the UIQ vision
• To prepare presentations and documentation needed for communication and management of the Product Planning roadmap
Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for creative, innovative people who enjoy presenting new ideas, are comfortable in decision making, prefer working in a rapidly changing market and environment and ideally have the
following qualifications and skills:
• Academic degree - minimum Bachelor level - in areas such as Computer Science, Engineering or Marketing, or other relevant experience.
• Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and fluency in written and spoken English are required.
• Previous product planning experience
• UIQ product knowledge
• A combination fo good customer relation skills and a solid technical understanding
• Listening skills - ability to understand and distil customer needs
• Good technical ability - able to understand new technology
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to communicate clearly with senior management as well as technology experts
• Positive, well-organized, outgoing and self motivated
Previous experience of working in an international and dynamic environment with extensive interaction with other companies is an advantage.
