Foundational products
Foundational products create services for the whole Group. Our mission is to make life easier for development teams, thereby improving their productivity. We do this by enabling them to leverage new technology, practices and processes. That includes but are not limited to; cloud, CI/CD, developer toolchains and automation.
We are a global team with colleagues in Sweden, France, Poland and India, this is the transformation engine that will propel Volvo Group into the future of tech.
What you will be doing
It's not enough for us at Foundational Products to create awesome products based on the latest technology. We also need to make sure that the development teams adopt and use them. We measure our success in how much faster we can make development teams.
You will be Product Owner for Volvo Transformation Labs (VTL) and Enablement Services. VTL is an immersive boot-camp for teams where they learn the practices, processes, culture and ways of working that unlocks the full potential of technology. Enablement services is how we delivery this kind of transformation bite sized instead, allowing teams to evolve step by step. As a Product Owner you'll be responsible for prioritizing the backlog of teams as well as improvement activities. You'll also lead a team of engineers that works with enablement.
Who you are
You are a skilled problem solver and a visionary with a passion for creating exceptional products. You have a deep understanding of user needs and are able to translate those needs into clear product requirements that can be easily understood by cross-functional teams. You have experience leading agile development teams, working collaboratively with developers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality products.
You are a strategic thinker who is able to prioritize features and requirements based on business value and customer impact. You are able to balance the competing demands of stakeholders and make tough decisions to ensure the right priority. You are a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with cross-functional teams.
You are results-driven and take a data-driven approach to decision making. You are always seeking to improve, and you are comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
You completely lack prestige and believe that contribution is more important than recognition. In unclear and ambiguous situations, you always find a way to move forward.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience.
Understanding of the software development process.
Project management experience
Product management experience
