The position will develop your innovation and strategic skills, your business acumen and your ability to make complex requests pragmatic and economically viable. Now it is an exciting period to join Volvo Cars and The Art Exterior Front and Rear. The Rear End Systems are responsible for development Tailgate, Rear Bumper, Spoiler & Applique. You will work closely together with the whole Art and will be responsible for Rear Bumper and Spoiler & Applique.
The Rear End System is divided into three teams and today we are 27 engineers. Our vision is to develop and deliver all our systems by in-house engineering and we believe that our team members take their ownership while constantly learning and have fun.
What you will do
• Lead our Teams together with TM and Scrum Master.
• Work with Product Managers, other Product Owners to define and maintain the team roadmap.
• Own, build, prioritize, decide and refine the roadmap and team backlog.
• Create & maintain the short- and long-term vision, business flow and methods of the product
• Maintain dialog with all our Stakeholders both for team intake and as team ambassador.
• Validate backlog items making sure they meet the acceptance criteria and definition of done (DoD) for our teams.
• Understand the scope of the upcoming enabler work and collaborate with System Architects, Technical experts, and aspect
leaders to assist with decision-making, attribute balancing and closing of strategical knowledge gaps.
• Participate in sprint team demo and retrospective, and upon need: in other events.
• Continuously develop your own skills and help the team and other Product Owners to develop theirs.
You and your skills
We are looking for you who have B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Automotive, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with automotive experience and product development knowledge. You have experience with global environment and working at an international level. If you have experience in Volvo Cars development processes and project management, then this might be a great opportunity for you to make a step forward. Leadership skills and experience are expected and will help you to succeed in this role.
Business acumen, integrity and courage are characteristics that describes you very well. We are looking for a self-driven individual, someone who is analytical and structured. You need to be able to present the results in a structured and understandable way and own the part ownership.
