LEEROY is at an exciting stage right now. Our product suite for restaurant chains has a great product-market fit and as a result, we are signing and onboarding customers at an accelerating speed in all four Nordic countries. LEEROY has six product teams who continuously improve and maintain our products, but in order to keep a high pace of signing and launching new customers, we have a seventh Scrum team: The Onboarding team. The mission of this team is threefold:

1. Onboard new customers to LEEROY's products
2. Onboard existing customers to new products and features
3. Continuously optimize the onboarding process to ensure scale and quality

We are looking for a Senior Product Owner (PO) for the Onboarding team to help the team succeed with this mission!

General description

Through excellence in planning, prioritization, and leadership, the product owner, who works closely with the team, is a champion for building the right thing. The PO is responsible for the vision of how we best scale the complex process of onboarding and improve our customer's business. The PO champions the vision and represents it in the daily work of prioritizing and breaking down the long term direction into actionable increments here and now. The Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value of the product resulting from the work of the Development Team. How this is done may vary widely across organizations, Scrum Teams, and individuals. The Product Owner is the sole person responsible for managing the Product Backlog. Product Backlog management includes:

• Clearly expressing Product Backlog items;
• Ordering the items in the Product Backlog to best achieve goals and missions;
• Optimizing the value of the work the Development Team performs;
• Ensuring that the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the Scrum Team will work on next; and,
• Ensuring the Development Team understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed.

The Product Owner is one person, not a committee. The Product Owner may represent the desires of a committee in the Product Backlog, but those wanting to change a Product Backlog item's priority must address the Product Owner. For the Product Owner to succeed, the entire organization must respect his or her decisions. The Product Owner's decisions are visible in the content and ordering of the Product Backlog. No one can force the Development Team to work from a different set of requirements.

About the job

As Product Owner for the Onboarding Team, you don't actually own a single product, rather your responsibility is securing successful onboarding of customers to all the products and features in our product suite (or, in other words, you own the service of smooth onboarding, which could be solved by stellar processes and technology that automates and simplifies the process). Needless to say, teamwork is the key here (which by the way is one of our guiding values). All product teams and the onboarding team must, together, optimize the flow around setting up customers for success. This includes automating and distributing the work throughout the company to make the customer experience excellent. This is a communication heavy type of role where you will communicate with R&D, Sales, and the roll-out team and have a large influence on processes and need to have a strong understanding of our business. You will collaborate with:

• All the product teams in R&D
• Sales as they know the customers well and have identified their needs and the opportunities we see in helping them succeed
• Customer success management who keeps a continuous dialogue with our launched customers and helps you coordinate onboarding existing customers to new products and features.

• Project leadership who takes care of the entire onboarding of a new customer (e.g. making sure all hardware is ordered and configured, and installations are scheduled,etc)

• Our customers - Nordic restaurant chains of various sizes. Since you'll spend a lot of your time coordinating and doing expectation management with them
• Our customers and your future colleagues are mostly located in the Stockholm office, and we also have a team of developers in Sundsvall.

Your qualifications

You are a senior leader. In the past years, you have been responsible for coordinating, delegating and prioritizing work for agile teams to achieve business value in small increments. As a person, you like being the coordinator, the spider in the web that balances stakeholder needs with prioritized business goals. Besides the fact that you enjoy this, your main success factor is expectation management. Project management is a valuable skill in this role and would be a great experience to boost the balance between delivery and building better tools for the onboarding process. You have plenty of practical experience in how to say no firmly but respectful, and when to bend the rules to succeed. Your experience with software engineering (either hands-on experience or from working closely with developers) also comes well in handy as it gives you a great understanding of the challenges of product development. You are accustomed to speaking to sales and customers as well and know how to combine technical knowledge with business knowledge. You are passionate about setting up, trying out, and remodeling processes because you believe in the saying. ''plans are worthless but planning is everything''.
