Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Intelligent Transport Systems is a newly created section within the Connected and Autonomous Systems department at Scania R&D. Our mission is to provide connected and autonomous transport solutions. The Intelligent Transport Systems section will contribute to that mission by providing offboard systems for automated, optimized and safe vehicle control and monitoring.

Assignment
You will take up the role as Product Owner for HD Maps. This means to coordinate and lead our development efforts for the in-vehicle and cloud-based maps used in our Connected and Autonomous vehicles. HD Maps is an intensive development area. Several development teams at Scania is already creating parts of the solution. Your role will be to drive the overall solution, set a common strategy for our development, and identify gaps that needs to be adressed. As a start, you as an individual will take on the overall responsibility for driving HD Maps at Scania.

You will work in close coorporation with the product owners for the development teams and development engineers. Your first tasks will be to drive procurement of HD maps and building a good relationsship with the supplier. In parallel, you will be defining our roadmap for HD maps, and ensure the that the deliveries from the different development teams meet the needs of the company. You will ensure that we have an aligned strategy and an efficient collaboration.

Your profile
You facilitate collaboration in a good way and are a team player. But you are not afraid take the lead when it is needed. You are driven and self-motivated.

You have a product development background and want to be part of solving complex technology challenges. An interest in the customer, and getting our solutions right from a customer perspective, is essential.

Experience from software development (embedded or cloud) is meritous. Experience from working with localization, positioning and maps is meritious. Experience from automotive product development is meritous.
