We are looking for a Product Owner to our Marine & Ports business unit for R&D at the hardware department in Västerås. We develop systems for supervision and control of automated container handling.
The success of our automation systems relies on skilled engineers adapting existing and new technology like lidar and vision sensors to the harsh marine environment in a container terminal. In your role, as a Product Owner, you will be responsible for the HW products located mainly on the cranes. You will work closely together with our Software engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors.

This position reports to R&D Hardware Manager.
Your responsibilities
Define and drive development projects within the R&D department.
Define and conduct testing of products at manufacturers and on site.
Specify product hardware and sometimes software demands to sub-suppliers.
Support other departments as sales and service to project and commissioning.
Together with the team improve processes and working procedures.
Readiness to travel since our customers are always abroad.

Your background
Knowledge in Automation and/or Mechanical engineering is mandatory.
A technical university degree or relevant work experience.
Several years of work experience are meritorious, but you can also be a recent graduate with high ambition, ready to take on a real challenge.
You are independent and can lead both yourself and others towards set goals.
Requirement to be fluent in Swedish and English, both in oral and written as you will be working in a global multicultural environment. Other language skills are meritorious.
Knowledge in production and manufacturing is an advantage.
