Product Owner for Integration Strategy & Tactics
About our R&D - Platform Integration & Release. We have come to an important step in the development of our new software-centric platform. Test and integration on the complete software and electronics system level are highly prioritized. The mission in our team is to bring integration-driven development and testing into product creation to continuously demonstrate that we deliver the best electrical system in the automotive world. We are also held responsible for securing a stable and robust electrical system for Volvo Car's new SW and electronics platforms. Our group consists of teams working across Research and Development with test strategies and anatomies. We have a technical responsibility for the complete electrical system. It is our governance to set integration strategies and implementation plans, as well as collaborate across R&D to create continuous integration strategies and plans. We also lead testing, integration, and analysis across our ART and R&D with regards to the complete electrical system to enable early testing and early failure detection.
We are now looking for a Product Owner to lead our Integration Strategy & Tactics teams
To manage such a challenge, we believe that you as a Product Owner have a passion for software and embedded integration and have experience with large-scale software development organizations. We believe that you have a background in product development and have experience working with integration both from a SW and HW perspective. As a Product Owner, you can lead through people and teams, are a good listener, and are motivated by creating new solutions together with cross-functional teams. Role specifics - Product Owner
As a Product Owner (PO) you will maximize value-added work by owning and deciding upon priorities in the Team Backlog from a business perspective to streamline execution, while maintaining technical integrity of the features/stories for the team.
You are the technical leader for the products and deliveries in your teams. Usually, a PO is responsible for 1 to 3 teams. Each team is usually 4-10 team members.
You drive the team vision and direction, short- and long-term of the product together with the team, Engineering manager, and relevant stakeholders.
You own, build, and prioritize the features and stories in the Team Backlog.
You coordinate content dependencies with other Product Owners.
Participating as a member of the Product Owner team, reviewing, and contributing to the vision, roadmap, and content. When leading strategies you are also working cross R&D to lead Integration driven development.
Requirements
• MSc in Electrical and Software Engineering or similar relevant experience
• Management experience from leading change, complex tasks, and leading agile teams
• Leadership experience from working on SW and architecture/strategies in large-scale software developing organization
• Experience working with embedded software development, software testing and integration as well as handling requirement within complex embedded projects
• Experience from SW baselining in complex systems
• Experience in SW and HW development and setting up technical roadmap
• High communication and cooperation skills
• Fluent in speaking and writing Swedish and/or English
• Strategic and delivery mindset as well as experience in how to grow SW functions
Meritorious
• Automotive experience
• Experience in the implementation of CI pipelines for SW development
• Software coding experience
• Agile frameworks and development such as SAFe
• ISO26262, cyber security, or similar legal aspects connected to SW
