THIS IS WHAT WE OFFER
As the Product Owner for Early Detection, you will hold a strategic and important role belonging to the department of Quality and Customer Satisfaction, Complete Vehicle within Group Trucks Technology. We have the overall responsibility for initiating short lead time quality improvements and influencing long term projects to deliver the right quality level. You will get a unique opportunity to complement your current expertise with a deep understanding of real-life customer usage and develop an extensive market knowledge and global network.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Your focus will be to boost and drive innovation to improve early detection of customer quality issues. Create early detection methodologies together with stakeholders through innovation, data analysis, customer business and application knowledge. Together with other functions within Q&CS, CV you will create business value by protecting our customer earlier, limiting high maintenance cost and improving customer satisfaction.
In parallel with your product owner role, you will also hold a position as Quality Action Group (QAG) leader for Intro Blocks (IB) and important Product introductions.
The purpose of the Product QAG is to:
Protect our customer from quality issue at IB (Intro Block) product introduction.
Have an early detection of infant quality issues to minimize impact on the field.
Coordinate resolution between project and maintenance.
Visualize and report the quality result of each IB.
The Quality Action Group is a cross-functional team supporting the customers and dealer network during the introduction phase of new Products and modifications in market. You will act as a liaison between the IB / Project teams and the Product Quality Leaders (PQL). Supporting the PQLs to be quicker to identify emerging quality issues early in the life of the product and facilitate that actions are taken by responsible product owner as soon as possible to minimize customer impact. Assessing and reporting product quality status from IB to the Field Quality Meetings (FQM). Securing escalation within FQM through the right PQL.
You will work close with the CV IB Strategy Team and participate in the Global CV IB Product review to understand the Scope (Customer value, applications segments & offerings), technical challenges and how to minimize the risks of each IB. Your task will be to bridge this information to your Q&CS colleagues, which will strengthen our efficiency, effectiveness & readiness of each IB.
You will also monitor and report the status to stakeholders such as management, steering committees, and the Volvo Truck brand.

Required Qualifications
Education:
Master or Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent technical university degree
Experience - Work
>3 years of technical work in relevant areas
Proven leadership in technology and people or in projects and project management
Proven ability in communication, adjusting content and style to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders
Experience in vehicles development and vehicles product know-how
Experience in operating effectively even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear
Knowledge:
Strong knowledge in database and data visualization applications such as Excel and Power BI
Communication, ability to provide information regarding tasks, plans, schedule, strategies and org structure to stakeholders, ability to communicate with many people and functions using oral as well as other presentation skills
Team building, ability to encourage and enable people to work together as a team to accomplish the project
