We are now looking to recruit the right person to lead part of our development efforts regarding our new electrical architecture. We are searching for a product owner for our core electrical system area. We believe it is you and your personality that is the most important assets of all. JOB DESCRIPTION
You will be working as a Product Owner (SAFe) around the core chassis system area for Volvo Buses. This area is where develop adaptions to Volvo truck components and functionality, as well as solutions to fulfil functionality unique to Volvo Buses.
You will work closely with the manager and system owner for this area, leading two different development teams and coordinating deliveries towards other product owners, project managers and other areas within Volvo Buses. The area covers a number of core chassis control units that are used for bus unique functionality. Some of these are developed by other parts of Volvo group according to our requirements, and some are developed inhouse in our team.
Since we are a smaller company, we all work with broad responsibilities and cross-functionally through the entire company, across many different departments and competence areas. This position will be no different, coordinating yours and your teams work with the rest of the development teams here at buses will be important.
Main activities will be to manage the product area backlog. This includes breakdown of project portfolio to into team backlog, prioritize the backlog, balance the backlog with different stakeholders and represent the customer towards the development teams.

Our department, Electrical and Software Architecture are a function within Global Bus Technology (GBT) at Volvo Buses that are responsible to integrate Volvo group technology into our buses and develop bus unique solutions when needed. We are responsible to secure short and long term quality solutions on the electrical and software systems of the bus. In close cooperation with colleagues at different departments, we are supporting each other in reaching our mission in helping millions of travellers reaching their travel destination. THIS PROBABLY DEFINES YOU
It would be meriting but not necessary to have earlier experience within Volvo Group, working with TEA2+ and bridge plan development. It's highly meriting if you have earlier experience working as a product owner according to SAFe, within the automotive sector.
You have several years of experience in leading and participating in teams and development networks, coordinating work across different competences to ensure the end delivery is the best compromise. We think that you have a MSc degree in mechatronics/electrical/software engineering or equivalent, are great at communication and networking, solution focused and eager to learn and work with your own development.
