What you'll do at Elekta
Your team is part of an international program that consists of a diverse group of specialists in mechanical engineering, electronics, physics, embedded software, and more. As we are an international organization you will interact with people located at other sites and in other countries.
Responsibilities:
You'll be working as a product owner and system engineer and lead a team in a technically advanced area. The team is responsible for selecting hardware as well as developing low-level software and a lot of algorithms.
Your primary responsibility will be to drive activities like system design, requirements engineering and risk analysis to ensure adequate quality in design input for the development of our future radiation therapy products. You are responsible for prioritizing the team's backlog and coordinating with other teams and system engineers.

You're a collaborative and confident leader with a holistic understanding of product development. You excel in cross-functional settings, where clarity, structure, and communication are key. You are driven by purpose and a passion for delivering technologies that make a difference in patients' lives.
Naturally curious, with a passion for innovative technology
Comfortable making decisions and leading technical discussions
Excellent communicator, able to connect across cultures and disciplines
Structured, goal-oriented, and confident prioritizer
Open to feedback and invested in team growth

What you bring
We are looking for a creative and smart new colleague who works best in teams. You have a can-do attitude, a problem-solving mindset and an aptitude for applying systems thinking. In addition, we believe you have:
A master's degree in engineering physics, electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or equivalent
Experience with 3D reconstruction, registration or computer vision algorithms and technologies
Broad and genuine interest in technology
Strong in building and maintaining successful and effective working relationships with engineering peers and stakeholders

It is meriting if you have
Previous experience working as a software engineer in C++
Experience of working in MedTech or some other regulated industry

We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every requirement-your unique skills and experiences might be exactly what we're looking for!
What you'll get
In this role, you will work for a higher purpose: hope for everyone dealing with cancer, and for everyone-regardless of where they are in the world-to have access to the best cancer care. You'll collaborate with a global team of passionate experts, be part of a meaningful mission, and have access to professional development in a supportive environment.
