A product owner is a key leader in the business as they are responsible for maximizing the value of the product(s) they have ownership over. The product owner belongs to end to end team(s) which can deliver items prioritized in the backlog, but they must also coordinate according to any dependencies in the company or any current program level initiatives. Each team will work with their product owner to determine the best way to structure and deliver based on the complexity of the problems they are solving in the product.
What impact will you have?
You will define and uphold the vision by creating strategies for the product. This means that you will break down work for optimal player value, prioritize and maintain the backlog. You will work closely with all stakeholders evaluating the progress of product and to understand customer needs and therefore product value.
You make the teams work visible and transparent to the rest of the company and hold development discussions (1:1s) with team members; focusing on soft skills and core values.
As a Product Owner at Star Stable you:
• Ensure transparency across the company by communicating planned and ongoing work, and the outcomes
• Have the mandate and responsibility to prioritize the initiatives or solutions in a backlog based on company objectives, goals and strategies
• Take higher level goals to the team and together figure out deliverables aligned with product vision and strategy
• Are responsible for planning and coordination with the team to determine how to structure and deliver
• Structure crossteam/department work with stakeholders, ensuring communication and coordination
• Collaboratively define vision and strategy
• Collaboratively prioritize and plan for delivery and address emergent needs
• Are responsible for outcomes and ensure they are tracked and measured
We are looking for someone who:
• Have minimum 2 years of experience as a product owner in an agile environment
• Is an excellent communicator with natural leadership skills as you will be managing stakeholders and the team
• Advocates agile values and principles
• Has technical knowledge and/or commercial acumen
If you have previous experience working with games and/or previous experience with continuous development and an interest in development courses it's considered a plus.
