About Product at Trustly:
The Product department drives the prioritisation and development of Trustly's products, ensuring they align with the company's short-term and long-term goals. We collectively hatch innovative ideas, analyse market fit, and set the product vision and strategy. The whole Product department consists of about 50 people and in Product Development together with Collection and Control is where the Product Owners reside.
Within Product Development we aim to be divided into value focusing teams supporting our products. All teams consist of Product Owners, analysts and development teams. We all work closely together to enable new products and features within existing products.
About the role:
The purpose of this role is to facilitate increased flow of deliveries of existing initiatives in the strategic portfolio. You will work on a tactical level, slicing and focusing on getting value out to the market with quality and pace. The role reports to the VP of Product Development and the position is based in Stockholm. We work in a 50/ 50 hybrid environment (office v.s home)
What you 'll do:
As a Product Owner within Identity & Compliance, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the compliance related initiatives at Trustly.
You will be working with Trustlys identity focused solutions ex. Pay N Play.
Your main task is to drive the tech team backlog in accordance with the set plan and strategy. This involves writing specifications, participating in daily standup meetings and assisting in managing the product roadmap.
You will work closely with product analysts to understand how the products are performing, identify development needs to ensure product quality and decide which new features should get prioritised.
It is also key to stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and the competitive landscape.
The Product Owner will work in an Agile environment and continuously review the business needs and support/guide co-workers.
What you 'll do:
A relevant academic degree in engineering, compliance, business or equivalent.
Have at least 4-5 years of experience working with product development in an agile environment.
An interest, and experience, in the fields of Compliance, AML and Payment regulations will help you succeed in this role. If you also have an understanding of the technical dependencies between these areas you come well prepared.
Experience regarding business analysis and functional requirements.
You inspire other people.
You have strong collaboration skills and are used to prioritise.
You are efficient, responsible and structured.
Excellent communication skills and you're comfortable interacting with developers just as well as with colleagues from the compliance or legal teams.
As we are a tech business at our core, you have a genuine interest in technology, financial technology and/or payments and like understanding all the nitty gritty product details.
You are experienced in the Agile methodology and use this knowledge to guide and educate co-workers to continuously improve.
As we operate on various markets, fluency in English is a must; other languages are a bonus.
Be comfortable in Jira and Confluence, since it's a natural part of your daily business.
In addition, experience from the Payment/Fintech industry are a bonus.
