Advanced Engineering and Core Technology (AE&CT) organization is responsible for the complete development lifecycle of the common embedded electronic platform - from advanced engineering through product development into maintenance phase. Our Core Embedded Electronic System Platform defines Base functions and capabilities to enable realization of machine level function and needs for the transformation journey Volvo CE is within with digitalization, electrification and autonomous machines.
Join us as Product Owner (PO) for our Core Embedded Electronic System. We are responsible for the Core EE system to be used within all our different machine types within Volvo CE. This EE-system is the Backbone in the machine electronic system providing necessary system functionalities for various user cases.
We are looking for a Product Owner for our Core Embedded Electronic System team with an ability to create a good network with stakeholders within Volvo CE and understanding their needs to be able to develop our product that is the Core EE System. As a Product Owner you will be responsible for our product and lead our development team. You will be part of the team contributing to the development together with Scrum Master and other team members.
What will you do?
We are currently looking for a Product Owner for the System engineering team that will lead and contribute at developing and maintaining the work to maximize value-added work by owning and deciding upon priorities in the Team.
You will:
Own, build, prioritize, decide and refine team backlog supporting the roadmap of the Core EE System.
Lead our Team together with Team Manager and Scrum Master.
Work with Product Managers and other Product Owners to define and maintain the team backlog.
Maintain a dialog with all our Stakeholders both for team intake and as a team ambassador.
Validate backlog items making sure they meet the acceptance criteria and definition of done (DoD) for our team.
Run release- and life cycle management.
We are using systems engineering and a model-based approach to design and develop our Core EE system.

As our Product Owner we see that you have experience from management and has a MSc Degree in a relevant area (e.g., Electrical and/or Software engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent expertise with several years of experience working within a relevant area. We believe you have experience from working in a technical leader role as Product Owner and that you have worked with embedded system or SW development and have experience working in an agile development environment and within early phases. Your English is fluent, both written and spoken, and you have proven ability to inspire, challenge and lead teams.
