Since 1927, we have been a brand known for our commitment to safety, creating innovative cars that make life less complicated for our consumers. In 2010, we decided to transform our business, resulting in a totally new generation of cars and technologies, as well as steady growth and record sales. Today, we're expanding our global footprint in Europe, China and the US, and we're on the lookout for new talent.
We are constantly pushing our own skills and abilities to drive change in the automobile industry like never before. We are looking for innovative, committed people to join us in this endeavour and create safe, sustainable and connected cars. We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars' journey into the future.

What you'll do
Volvo Cars have an ambition to expand our in-house software development. At the department of Core System Software, we are part of this ambition. Our teams are building the next generation high-performance in-vehicle compute cluster, designed to host different vehicle applications, stretching from basic vehicle state machines to advance active safety and unsupervised autonomous drive functionalities. This compute cluster will be launched in our coming generation of pure electric and self-driving Volvo models. Our task is to create a safe, reliable, and secure software that serve as a platform for our stakeholders and partners to deploy applications on. We are now looking for a leader to take on the role as Product Owner for Continues integration of core system platform.

Core System Platform is at the center of Volvo Cars transformation from a "traditional" automotive company into a powerhouse of high-complexity / high-quality software development. Your responsibilities as a product owner will include to support this transformation through your ideas, through listening to the needs of the organization, of other Product Owners and your colleagues in general, and through helping define the common direction of the Core System Platform organization.

Your responsibilities will include -

You will participate in the development of acceptance criteria for stories and support the team with review. You will take lead in the coordination of content dependencies with other product owners and relevant stakeholders. You will also work closely with subject matter experts to assist with decision-making and sequencing of the key technological infrastructures.
• In addition to the daily interactions with your teams, where you play an important role as a servant leader, you will also be a member of the product management team and review and contribute to the product areas vision, roadmap, and content

What you'll bring
As the Product Owner of Continuous Integration, your mission is to connect, through automation, the build, verification, packaging and release of the Core System Platform product into efficient and well-working continuous integration pipelines supporting 40+ (growing quickly!) development teams.

To your aid, you have 2 dedicated Continuous Integration teams with strong competence in large-scale Continuous Integration from both Volvo Cars and elsewhere. As a Product Owner, you will guide these teams towards your goals through your leadership, your communication and your definition and prioritization of work to be done.

Skills that will help you in your role include:
• Strong experience with Continuous Integration, especially with high-complexity and/or embedded software.
• Experience in both technical and non-technical leadership, preferably of multiple teams.
• Ability to listen to and understand the needs of others, balancing these needs with your own vision and goals, to create a plan and work packages that others can work on.
• Understanding of the full software lifecycle. From the challenges to get hundreds of persons code to work together, to the challenges connected to testing, releasing and continuously improve the code.
