Foundational Products & Chapters is part of Technology, a new function within Volvo Group Digital & IT with a big stake in the Group's digital transformation. Technology will modernize Volvo's core digital backbone making it a platform for digital products.
Foundational Products & Chapters are responsible for API & Integration, DevSecOps, Cloud and Development Platforms. Our Foundational IT products are used by digital product teams and enable them and their products to outperform Volvo's competitors. Our digital talents develop capabilities and digital technologies to improve business performance and create value for the Group with speed and at scale.
We collaborate with other parts of the organization, both in Group Digital & IT and the rest of the Volvo Group. We foster an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. We are team players with clear common ambitions, and we win together.
The Cloud Foundational Product is now looking for a Product Owner
In this role you will be reporting to the Head of Cloud within Foundational Products & Chapter. The Cloud team has the responsibility for driving the development of the Cloud product portfolio by identifying and prioritizing requirements and working closely with Infrastructure & Onsite Services who oversees the technical development. This team is also in charge of the Cloud adoption across the Digital & IT community.
This appointment is a new position related to the productization of the Cloud platforms.

As product owner for our Azure Cloud Environment Platform, your mission will be to turn the product vision into a working product aligned with the business objectives. You will be member of the Agile Team responsible for defining stories and prioritizing the backlog, to streamline the execution of product priorities together with our internal partner at Infrastructure & Onsite Services. You will take care of customer perspective and needs and will be accountable for the overall functionality and usability of the product. Your role will be to be act as a user advocate involved in development meetings.
Azure Cloud Environment Platform is our major cloud platform at Volvo Group. This position is then a golden opportunity to play a strategic role in crafting the future of this platform and by that enabling faster value creation for the overall Volvo Group.
Who are you?
We are looking for a driven Product Owner with a great mix of technical and leadership skills and we believe you are either an experienced Product Owner/Team lead with a strong interest in cloud, or perhaps you are an Azure Cloud architect with experience building and maintaining Cloud platforms - with a drive to shift path towards product.

To be successful in this position we believe you have
A university degree or equivalent
At least 8-10 years of experience from being involved in IT initiatives ideally in a leading position
Experience in Business Analysis / Requirement management
A truly Agile mindset with the ability to inspire and bring people together
Experience of working with Cloud based technologies / deliveries
An understanding of infrastructure (networking, Identity and Access Management, ...)
Interest / Experience of "modern IT" (in terms of design, technology...)
You have good communication and coordination skills
You are comfortable managing stakeholders on both executive and operational levels ready to decide upon priorities in a dynamic environment.
You are a proactive problem solver with innovative thinking and a strong team player
You have experience working in a global context and communicate fluently in English
Your main responsibilities
Lead overall product development including setup of product strategy and masterplan/roadmap
Design product to strategically fit end user needs.
Develop foundational product to deliver agreed business outcomes, using relevant resources.
Develop epics and user stories based on joint understanding of user personas and stories
Secure that the product is developed in compliance within given Architecture guidelines
Communicate business priorities to product team, collects their view and drives efficient development
Define scope and timing of product features for team members (including definition of acceptance criteria)
Manage product backlog (clearly prioritize ideas, ensure that the backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all)
Plan and manage budget allocated.
Assure persistent interfacing to other product owners and business partners for product related topics
Provide thorough analysis and insights of technology and product trends
Ensure security and compliance of products at different levels of granularity from bare minimal prior to general availability to full compliance levels when fully available for consumer.
This position is Flexible but limited to the following locations: Gothenburg, Sweden - Lyon, France - Bangalore, India
