ABOUT THE ROLE
Bio-Works is looking to further strengthen its strategic position in Life Science by adding a new Product Manager to the team. In this role, you will be responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with development, sales, marketing, finance, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
As a Product Manager, you will also ensure that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals. You will manage the cross-functional interface with product development and manufacturing that secures the development and delivery of market and customer requirements ensuring meeting financial performance levels for the product range.
DAY-TO-DAY TASKS
• Define the product strategy and roadmap
• Deliver PDRs and PCRs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
• Act as voice of the customer in development projects
• Develop the core positioning and messaging for the products
• Perform product demos and presentations to customers
• Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
• Develop sales tools and collateral
• Propose an overall budget to ensure success
• Brief and train colleagues as needed
• Act as a leader within the company
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
• Technical experience in Life Science - preferably as a Field application specialist or a product manager
• Experience from process development within the lab
• Experience within chromatography
• University education in chemistry, biochemistry or equivalent is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
• Must be able to travel at least 10% of the time
QUALIFICATIONS WANTED
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language
• Knowledge in other languages (especially German or French)
• Sales or marketing experience is highly valued
To be successful as a Product Manager at Bio-Works you need to be an extrovert, driving person with excellent communication skills. The position requires an ability to absorb and handle complex information in a very structured way. The product manager must be able to handle many tasks at the same time and have an ability work under pressure. Team working ability, flexibility and unpretentiousness is central to success.
