Aftermarket Technology (AMT) is a global function providing aftermarket support to AB Volvo's truck brands and business areas. Our main deliverables are customized service planning, diagnostics and repair/service methods supported by the corresponding spare parts assortment and information.

Job description

Product & Quality Management is a newly built team within the Spare Parts Engineering and Information department (SPEI). The team has global responsibility and supports all Group Trucks brands and drives development of products to support the service market worldwide. Our main deliverables are:
• Developing products to enable the spare parts business for all truck brands
• Leading improvements in the spare parts assortment and information
• Embedded Software Integration, releasing software updates and improvements to be downloaded in the aftermarket of all truck brands

Responsibilities

The product manager plays a crucial role in the team being primarily responsible for the SPI product strategy and roadmap. The product manager is also responsible for:

• Planning and developing new SPI features/offer (RqP, Bodybuilder info, Chemicals)
• Driving selected items in development plan (AMCR)
• Driving SPI contribution in Product and System Roadmap (PSR) L2
• Representing SPI towards the brand organisation(s)
• Being owner and driver of SPI PSR L3 (development plan and maintenance)
• Organizing and Representing SPI product in Product Process team
• Being involved in new system development, ex. Impact or Lisa
• Collecting customer/dealer information from all markets
• Benchmarking competitors
• Collecting and studying new technology and future trends

Requirements

• Be business and customer oriented
• Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a global and cross functional organization
• Have a "can-do" attitude and the ability to take initiatives to accomplish goals, be creative and direction setting
• Have networking skills, with the ability to interact with persons in different organizations and in different hierarchical levels
• Have good influencing skills and a "can do" attitude

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Engineering or similar
• Experience from Product development and/or Aftermarket
• Technical editor experience is an advantage
• Project Management experience is a merit
• Fluent in English, verbally and written
