Purpose
To drive and be accountable for the new Smartphone portfolio and maximize Smartphone sales and profits throughout the product life cycle and through all channels. You will be located in Ascom's head office in Gothenburg and you will report to the Director for Product Line Mobility.
Major tasks & responsibilities
• Drive, define and maintain the product roadmap for the Ascom Smartphone portfolio
• Work closely with Ascom sales channels and external partners, in particular operators, to establish Ascom as a leading player in the market for Smartphones in its core market segment Healthcare
• Ensure that the right applications for the smartphones are in place
• Set, monitor and follow-up annual budgets for the Smartphone portfolio. Responsible for the P&L.
• Responsible for creation of Requirement Specifications and Business Cases for new products
• Ensure that high-quality commercial and technical product documentation is available for the Smartphone portfolio
• Coordinate with the other Product Lines to create overall solutions supporting a "One Ascom System" approach towards the market.
• Handle the product life cycle management for the Smartphone portfolio
Competence
Business understanding
• 3+ years experience in Product Management
• In-depth fundamental knowledge of mobile phone (GSM/3G/LTE) handsets, market and sales channels, experience with enterprise solutions preferred
• Experience in driving product management activities for complex business-to-business products and applications
• Business skills: understands financials, revenue, margins, profitability of different distribution models
• Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or IT/Telecoms, Masters preferred
Personality
• Executive level, polished skills in presenting technologically complex systems to the market
• Ability to develop customer centric value propositions
• Independent and pragmatic attitude
• Strong analytical & problem solving skills
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent in English is a must, Swedish strongly preferred, French and German are an asset
• Able to drive, motivate others
• Team player with sense of own and share responsibilities
