About the position
Ascom's head office in Gothenburg is recruiting a Product Manager for one of our highest prioritized products, a unique Smartphone with unique applications and special design which will be developed for highly demanding healthcare environments worldwide. The Product Manager for Smartphones will be the one who drives and defines the Smartphone product roadmap and portfolio ensuring maximized sales and profits throughout the product lifecycle. Working closely with Ascom sales channels and external partners, in particular operators, you will play a key role in establishing Ascom as the leading player in the market for Smartphones in our core market segment Healthcare.
Your work tasks will include creation of requirement specifications and business cases, as well as handling annual budgets for the Smartphone portfolio. Furthermore you will be engaged in the creation of commercial and technical product documentation and coordination with other Product Lines to create overall solutions supporting a "One Ascom System" approach towards the market. You will report to the Director for Product Line Mobility.
Skills
To be successful as a Product Manager in Ascom you should preferably have a Bachelor or Masters degree in electrical engineering or IT/Telecoms and at least three years of experience in Product Management together with an in-depth fundamental knowledge of mobile (GSM/3G/LTE) handsets, market and sales channels. Experience in enterprise solutions is preferred together with experience in driving product management activities for complex business-to-business products and applications. Business & Financial understanding is crucial as well as excellent presentational skills in technologically complex systems. Fluency in English is a must and Swedish is strongly preferred, French and German are an asset.
