The subsidiary Logistics Solutions (TMHLS) which is a central part of the development and innovation part of Toyota Material Handling is located at Lindholmen Science Park in Gothenburg. Logistics Solutions develops solutions in automation, telematics, software development and inventory management and has approximately 150 employees. Toyota Material Handling Europe has a total of approximately 9000 employees in about thirty sales companies, as well as in development and manufacturing units in Sweden, Italy and France. The head office is in Mjölby, where smart solutions for material handling and unique trucks are developed and produced.
YOUR CHALLENGE
As a Product Manager for Shuttles and Compact Lifter at Toyota Material Logistics Solutions you will manage the prioritization and the implementation of the roadmap. As product manager you are responsible for the lifecycle management of the Shuttles and Compact Lifter. Stakeholder management is key in this role. In addition to your role as Product Manager for Shuttles and Compact Lifter you have an important role as member of the Solution Management Team for Automation as well as Racking Solutions - contributing to the overall Solution portfolio and roadmap. For this position you can be placed either in Mjölby or Gothenburg. If you are located in Gothenburg there will be travels to Mjölby approximately 2-3 days a week.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collect, maintain and analyse internal and external customer requirements
• Investigate, select, and drive the development of the product in line with the company's needs
• Benchmark the product with state of the art technology and industry trends
• Create competitor analysis
• Create and maintain product roadmap, agreed with stakeholders
• Present roadmap in governance boards
• Communicate roadmap to market and sales offices
• Prioritize and plan products and releases derived from road map as input for product owners, project managers and development,
• Act as an ordering function for R&D and external suppliers
YOUR PROFILE
As a person, you have strong communication skills and enjoy working with customers and building relationships. You are used to working with agile R&D departments and being a good internal network builder. To be successful in this position it's important to be a promoter of knowledge sharing and to reuse best practises.
REQUIREMENTS
A relevant degree (Bachelor or M.Sc.) in the field of engineering or product development. To succeed in this position, you need to have at least 3 years' work experience in product management, sales and business development and extensive experience in automated vehicles/automation. You have a good understanding of hardware and software development and it's also considered a merit if you have knowledge of SAFe implementation.
