hela Sverige The Collaboration and Malware department within Site Gothenburg is responsible for the development, maintenance and finance of products running in the portfolio. The group consists of 20 people working with various products.
To stay at the cutting edge and meet our customers? high demands we need to strengthen our team with a highly motivated Product Manager for the Real Time Collaboration (RTC) product.
About the job:
The Product Manager is responsible for a specific product, its development, quality, economy and life cycle planning, as well as delivery and support. The Product Manager works with uniquely identified packages of software, available for order and delivery. The product might very well consist of different components, in terms of functions, features and sub products.
In the role as a Product Manager for RTC, you will also be the team leader of the RTC 3 rd level Infrastructure team. The team works globally with customers within the Volvo Group as well as with companies that outsource to Volvo IT.
The current environments consist of Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 and Microsoft Lync 2010 solutions serving both the Volvo Group as well as external customers on a global level.
In 2013 we will see exciting developments and challenging opportunities as we are right now taking the next step with the real time collaboration product, using the latest technologies in an effort to provide our customers with even more new and exciting functionality designed to assist and improve collaboration on a daily basis.
Work description:
The Product Manager is responsible for:
The functionality, quality and life cycle planning of the product
The product plans being in line with Volvo IT strategy, business requirements and technological developments
The product budget
The volume updates required for invoicing
Team Leader for the RTC 3 rd level product team
Maintenance and 2nd level support according to Volvo IT's common process
Overall product development
Information and documentation about the product
Education, training and installation routines
Participating in calculation and planning of development and operation activities
Proposing changes which make the system more efficient and / or reduce operation or maintenance costs
Basis for pricing/Request For Proposal
Qualifications and skills required:
For this position, we need a person with experience as a leader in the IT field.
The successful candidate will have:
Ability to take the lead and drive forward
Strong customer focus
An eye for detail and good organizational skills
Ability to work in a global, multi-cultural organization
Good team leader knowledge and experience
Very good communication and documentation skills
Very good ability to keep many tasks in the loop
Very good ability to collaborate in teams as well as being an independent driving force
Broad IT technical knowledge within the area of Infrastructure
Good written and spoken English and Swedish are requirements.
