Place of action
Electronic Defence Systems, a business area of Saab, is one of the world’s premier suppliers of solutions for surveillance, avionics and systems to detect, locate and protect against threat.
Business Unit Surface Radar Solutions are responsible for surface-based, ground based and naval radar systems within the Business Area. Surface Radar Solutions contains of three sites; Syracuse in USA, Halden in Norway and Gothenburg, Sweden with a total of 430 employees whereof 250 based in Gothenburg.
Product Area Naval is responsible for profitability of our naval product portfolio and to ensure the products are developed and produced in an efficient way. We set the roadmap for our products using competitor information, market trends and by following military doctrines. Our role is to know customers and translate their needs and expectations into customer solutions.

Your future challenge
As Product Manager you will have the the responsibility of planning and execution of tasks related to achievement of commercial success of assigned products. This includes work in the fields of life-cycle profitability, competitive strengths and requirements for the product, including all handling aspects during the products life cycle including sales support activities and phase out.
Your role is also to challenge our development organisations to create profitable products in a long term perspective.
You will be a part of the team focusing on the customer solutions in the naval domain. You will meet the end customer as well as shipyard representatives and system integrators and you will work closely together with Marketing & Sales to develop our offer to the customers.

Today's demands
You have a technical background and leadership experience with focus on business and relationship building. You have a deep financial understanding and experience from product management is highly qualifying.
You have a good knowledge in the naval domain and understand the naval language. You have excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English. You are prepared to travel and learn new things and as a person you easily find yourself in different environments and cultures.
The appointment entails working with classified information and therefore requires Swedish citizenship.
