In this role as a Product Manager at Acne Studios you will hold a key role within the Womenswear team where you will have complete responsibility for the product development and production of your designated category in co-operation with the Head of Women?s Product/Production.
This position reports to the Head of Women?s Product/Production, and you will have one Product Developer reporting to you.
The work environment at Acne Studios is fast-paced and energetic; no day is ever the same. You will be based at Acne Studios Head Office in Stockholm, but you will also have commitments that require travelling on a regular basis.
Tasks will include, but not be limited to:
Responsible for the development and production of high-end quality women?s wear collections in close cooperation with our design- and pattern team
Assure the highest quality of your product category leather
Manage the costing process and analysis of margins per product category and decide on negotiation strategies going towards suppliers
Negotiate prices with manufacturers in relation to expected volumes
Responsible for respecting the range plan of your categories
Proactive work in fittings which is related to the further production process
Responsible for respecting on time deliveries
Ongoing assessment of existing suppliers base and sourcing of new suppliers
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Academic degree, from Business School and/or Textile Education
Experience of working as a product manager for at least 6 years, preferably from high-end brands
Outstanding communication skills in written and spoken English, additional language skills is a merit
Experience of working close to international factories
A vast experience and highly technical knowledge of leathers and materials
The ability to take initiative and to prioritize work tasks
An action oriented attitude with a proactive approach to problem solving and decision making
