The Product Management function primarily strives to ensure and maintain a competitive product portfolio within the areas of turning, milling, drilling and machine integration. To sustain our mission, we are now looking to temporary support our product area threading and small part machining, within Turning, due to parental leaves. As a Product Manager, you will have good insight into the full life cycle of our products and network on an international level, while setting demands for future technology standards. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about this field and develop personally.
This is a one year temporary assignment, and some travel is a natural part of this position.
Key performance areas
As Product Manager for threading and small part machining, you will be responsible for the area and will be in charge of the product and application strategy, in accordance with our established business strategy. From a global product management perspective, you are responsible for, and actively participate in, training within the field. In this position, you collaborate closely with various stakeholders at our headquarters and in our subsidiaries, as well as with our customers. Furthermore, you identify and interpret customer needs, which you transform into new top-quality products. In addition, you start and follow up on a variety of development projects and, with an ear to the ground, you keep track of the latest developments, forecast future trends, define technical marketing, follow up on sales and both start and follow up on projects.
We are looking for someone who, preferably, has an engineering degree, or who has gained equivalent professional experience in machining and manufacturing. We expect you to have genuine technical understanding, as well as a strong business interest, in order to ensure a competitive and profitable product offering for Sandvik Coromant. You have experience from work in product management and/or experience in threading and small part machining. You have at least three years' experience from working in a similar field, and you are an experienced user of MS Office. If you also have worked with EPLM, we consider that advantageous. As we operate in an international environment, you need excellent communication skills in English, while skills in Swedish are beneficial.
