For Product Line Turning, we're now looking for a collaborative and communicative Product Manager - a leader position in which you represent an experienced group of professionals in an international environment!
The Product Lines provide our target customers with complete solutions and drive the development, maintenance and launch of our products. We plan, monitor, and steer the performance of our product portfolio providing knowledge and competence in how to best use our solutions.
About the job
In this position, you combine strategic and operative skills as you're responsible for leading our team of product managers as well as for your own portfolio and product area of thread turning products. Acting as a manager for the team, you facilitate and develop the Turning Product portfolio building customer value and profitable growth. Furthermore, you lead your direct reports, where you assign tasks, distribute workload, and assure allocation in line with Product Line and Insert Tool priorities. You sponsor, prioritize, plan, and track all phases of the product life cycle - from idea to market introduction and phase out for standard and custom products. You analyze market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and the competitive landscape. You work across Seco, with Product Development, Operations and Sales, with Sandvik Machining Solutions (SMS) and with different customers.
On a more operational level, you develop processes and procedures to support the product line as well as develop and communicate findings based on customer value proposition for the product portfolio, including product-focused digital solutions.
The location for this position can be flexible across any of our sites in Europe. However, since most of the team is located in Fagersta, Sweden, regular physical presence is required at our headquarters in order to create effective collaborations with the team and other internal stakeholders.
Your profile
Your way of working is defined by clear-cut communication and collaboration. Facilitating people and relationships in an efficient method comes naturally to you. You work continuously to build a united consensus, and you explain difficult information and matters in a way that makes it digestible for every part involved. Complementing your leadership abilities are your skills in problem-solving and your capacities to work independently.
We're looking for someone with proven leadership capabilities, being that from a project manager role, acting manager role or similar - with an added benefit if you have previously acted as a line manager; accompanied by a relevant degree and experience in strategic and tactical planning. You have a good understanding of product development processes, project models and Portfolio Management. You're aware of the competition and have the business knowledge to prove it. Since you'll be navigating in a global setting, this position calls for proficiency in English, while knowing Swedish is a plus.
