The Product Manager is responsible for the assigned products through the entire Product lifecycle - from concept to end-of-life. An understanding of rapidly changing market requirements, competition and customer requirements is critical. The Product Manager also supports the development of company market strategy and the selection and prioritization of new products. The Product Manager conducts market research, translates requirements into specifications, works closely with Research and Development to manage and monitor project timetables, manages the launch process, and ongoing updates and changes. In cooperation with Marketing resources, creates tools and collaterals necessary to support the products.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Works closely with customers and others to understand and anticipate customer requirements.
• Translates customer requirements into new products and changes to existing products.
• Assesses market competition and develops products and/or tools in response to competition.
• Works closely with the R&D teams to develop product sales strategies.
• Assesses marketplace information by calling on customers with Key Account Managers.
• Analyses proposed product requirements and product development programs; prepares return-on-investment analyses; establishes time schedules in close cooperation with R&D.
• Leads the launch process for new products and engages resources and support throughout the company
• Determines product pricing by utilizing market information.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Desired Skills & Experience

• Good leaderships skills, developed communication skills, and an ability to influence others, both internally and externally
• Consultative skills and business behaviour
• 3 years' experience in project management
• Ability to work in a creative, multi-disciplinary environment
• Ability to plan, organize, coordinate and execute a high variety of development tasks and projects
• Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills
• An understanding of Plockmatic product portfolio - both business objectives and technical environment
• Experience in the digital print and workflow technology market is highly desired.
• Fluent English speaker on the same level as a native English/American
• Able to travel world-wide between 8-10 weeks/year
Education
• Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Civilingenjör - Maskinteknik)
