The Product Manager Role Mission:
The Product Manager is main responsible for a product, it's development, quality, economy and life cycle planning, as well as the delivery and support of it. The product might very well consist of different components, in terms of functions, features and sub products. This role can have delegated functional responsibilities.
Work description:
• Being responsible for the budget, cost, functionality, quality and life cycle planning of the product based on guidelines from the Product Area Manager for AOM
• Product planning and development in line with Volvo IT strategically plans, business requirements and technology changes
• Initiating product development activities
• Supply information and documentation about the product
• Provide education, training and work processes
• Participating in calculation and planning of development and operation activities
• Propose changes which make the product more efficient and/or reduce operation or maintenance costs
Competence requirements:
• Experience of Volvo IT Financial/Budget system (Product Calculation)
Personal characteristics:
• Good communication skills
• Inspiring and motivational attitude
• An open and listening attitude
• Have a structured approach to work
• Ability to have a holistic view of the whole solution
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both orally and written
• Ability to work both as part of a team and doing independent work
Education and/or Experience Recommended:
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or similar
