Manage product portfolio and product development in accordance with BU strategy
Support the development and execution of product line strategies in coordination with other functions in the organization like R&D, manufacturing and sales
Contribute in development of financial forecasts, demand and supply planning
Drive cost reduction initiatives, market/competitive intelligence, manufacturing capability improvement and tactical marketing
Provide functional expertise to management of product line including tracking business KPI's, value pricing support and marketing communication content development
Ensure business cases are robust by collecting details on ongoing and future business competition and set priorities for the allocation of non-customer specific resources such as R&D and engine labs
Provide input to the development, submission and negotiation of commercial proposals to ensure the achievement of profitability targets per customer and technology
The requirements
Technical Master degree with several years of experience in product management, strategic marketing, performance insights management or R&D
Experience gained ideally in a large international company. Your sector background could be automotive, industrial product & equipment, consumer or healthcare products
Ability to understand the value drivers of the business, technology trend, customer needs and the implications on internal resources, processes and cost
Strong business and financial acumen to manage the product portfolio throughout the whole product lifecycle
Ability to challenge the status quo by coaching and influencing internal business partners with performance insights analysis
Strong negotiation and communication skills in English which enables you to discuss issues at eye level with senior management
Fact and figure based approach to investigate technologies, assessing technical feedback and developing technology rankings with focus on cost and profitability
