Axis initiative within Audio is a new area that will become increasingly important as part of the total offering to the market. We will therefore continue to strengthen the team with a Product Manager focusing on Audio Software and applications.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As Product Manager you will have the main responsibility for a specific category of products, you will manage the entire product life cycle - from strategic planning to tactical activities. You will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new products based on Axis industry experience, contact with the market and new innovations.
In this role you will work in the New Business team, responsible for the Audio Software and Applications offering. You will work closely with the product manager for Audio Solutions, product specialist and the R&D team to drive a complete Axis solutions offering within Audio. You will also cooperate with project managers to define product requirements. Furthermore you will work with the marketing department to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer.
Your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Excellent understanding of the competition and market needs
Maintain and develop good business relations with internal and external stakeholders
Define product strategy and roadmap for your product category
Define products to meet and fulfill the strategy and roadmaps
Strategic pricing
Inform and train the sales force at new product launches
The position requires more than 40 days of travelling.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
As a Product Manager it is important to enjoy spending time in the market to understand their needs and based on that, specify innovative solutions for the market. You must have broad experience from both business and technology, preferably from the Software or Audio industry.
We believe you are an open minded and socially skilled individual who is always open to colleagues and customers. You have excellent teamwork skills and proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. We believe that you have the ability to manage and perform in a multi-cultural environment with international contacts. You have a structured way of solving and attacking tasks and issues, yet a flexible mindset, enjoy high pace and open to change.
Furthermore we believe you have:
Minimum of 3 years of experience within software as a product manager or other equivalent experience
Experience from IP based systems and solutions
Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
Excellent understanding of business and market dynamics
Interest and knowledge in technology
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English
THE NEW BUSINESS TEAM
New Business is an organization within AXIS with teams in Lund, Sweden and Prague, Czech Republic. We are responsible for evaluating new business ideas and M&A opportunities from a technical and a commercial perspective. We develop a number of innovative product lines outside Axis network video, to offer our customers the best products, solutions and services on the market. The team has market oriented product and solutions resources, product development resources and a M&A team. The ambition is to leverage on Axis existing expertise and capacity which build on a flexible and open co-operation with other departments.
