The Role
The market is quickly changing. Xylem is strengthening its capabilities to meet the future needs of digital offers and services. Many of the upcoming products have a digital twin and connect with digital services and there is high potential to further enhance the customer experience. New advanced digital services will be developed, e.g. predicting machine failures based on big data in order to optimize service.
The Product Manager is responsible for developing, managing and driving profitable business growth for the product portfolio. This role manages its products through the whole lifecycle by gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product roadmap, value proposition and working closely with R&D to delivering and introducing winning products to the market in close collaboration with the commercial teams.
This position is responsible for developing and executing product plans to maximize profitability including; managing strategic and market pricing, conduct training and working with marketing and commercial teams to promote this future offering in suitable applications.
The focus for the position will be on establishing and developing a portfolio of advanced cloud services, based on customers input and best practices from other industries. We are looking for a product manager who understands the opportunities a comprehensive and flexible API strategy can provide.
You will build up the product portfolio and supporting infrastructure as well as collaborate with the sales organization in their daily work to secure growth. You will be working close to stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure that you and the development team ensure the company's short and long-term goals.
Responsibilities:
• Define the product strategy by developing and implementing the product portfolio roadmap. Manage the product life cycle (strategy for implementation).
• Product development including launches through collaboration with sales, marketing and R&D to drive next-generation value propositions by a rigorously understanding of VOC. Develop appealing value proposition.
• Run and implement product launches.
• Sales and order performance and profitability of the products. Carefully follow up product sales, price and margins with the aim to reach targets, if not identify and drive actions to close the gap. Provide strategic pricing guidelines.
• Follow the latest development of digital economy and translate them into offerings.
• Participate in technical meetings, conferences, workshops, industry days, trade shows and association events.
You will report to the Manager of Systems & Digital Services in Sundbyberg and location will be at the Xylems office in Sundbyberg. You will be part of the Integrated Systems Product Management team. As the role requires close contacts with the markets, you need to be able to travel.
Is this you?
You have a Master of Science or similar education. To be successful in this role you must have solid experience in new business development. You have potentially a background from start-ups or SaaS products in mature industrial companies. You have a technical background combined with experience in strategic sales and marketing and is commercially focused. Demonstrated success building out an API platform, data analytics and product management of SaaS is beneficial.

Excellent skills in English, both oral and written, are essential to perform this work as part of a global company. Communication skills in Swedish are a plus.
