Axis accessory portfolio is expanding and becoming increasingly important as part of the total offering to the market. We will therefore continue to strengthen the Accessory team with one more product manager focusing on power and connectivity accessories.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As Product Manager you will have the main responsibility for a specific category of products, you will manage the entire product life cycle - from strategic planning to tactical activities. You will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new products based on Axis industry experience, contact with the market and new innovations. As Product Manager Power & Connectivity Accessories you will have extensive contacts with both existing and new external suppliers.
In this role you will work in the Accessories team with one more product manager and two product specialist and you must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work closely with other product managers to secure a complete Axis product offering. You will also cooperate with project managers to define product requirements. Furthermore you will work with the marketing department to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer.
Your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Excellent understanding of the competition and market needs
• Maintain and develop good business relations with external suppliers
• Define product strategy and roadmap for your product category
• Define products to meet and fulfill the strategy and roadmaps
• Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
• Inform and train the sales force at new product launches
The position requires more than 40 days of travelling.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
As a Product Manager it is important to enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems and based on that, specify innovative solutions for the market. You must have broad experience from both business and technology, preferably from the video surveillance industry.
We believe you are an open minded and socially skilled individual who is always open to colleagues and customers. You have excellent teamwork skills and proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. We believe that you have the ability to manage and perform in a multi-cultural environment with international contacts. You have a structured way of solving and attacking tasks and issues, yet a flexible mindset, enjoy high pace and open to change.
Furthermore we believe you have:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a product manager or other equivalent experience
• Experience from working with fiber connectivity and network products
• Experience from working with external suppliers
• Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
• Excellent understanding of business and market dynamics
• Interest and knowledge in technology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English
PRODUCT MANAGEMENT TEAM
Product Management Video Products is responsible for the Network Cameras, Encoders/Decoders and Accessories product offerings. This includes product planning, managing the products' life cycle, and handling of complex support issues escalated from local support teams. Our interfaces are both internal such as R&D, Sales & Marketing and Operations as well as external customers, partners and suppliers.
