We believe that a quality video service makes online communication better and more fun for everyone. As a member of the Screen9 team you will be part of building the future of online video in a rapidly growing company. Your work will influence the millions of users already using the service today.
The Product Manager role
As Product Manager of Screen9 you are the spider in the net, meaning that you frequently talk to the development team, sales and customers about the product. You are the one who understands customer needs and you use this knowledge to shape the future of the product. You are deeply involved in both the development and execution of the product strategy and you often meet with stakeholders and key customers to present and verify the suitability of this strategy. You help sales understand the key benefits of the product and to sell successfully. Being the one with the best big-picture understanding of the product you also communicate with marketing about how they best market the product to different customer groups.
You will work with two development teams; one backend team in Stockholm and one frontend team in Cracow. The management of these teams are handled by the CTO in Sweden and by a site manager in the Cracow office.
Key responsibilities:
• Planning and prioritizing development work
• Product packaging
• Communicating product requirements with developers
• Developing and communicating the product vision
• Meeting customers to understand their needs
• Acting as product specialist during key sales initiatives
• Assisting sales with marketing information
Candidate Profile
The product manager role is an informal leadership role. You need both development, company management, sales and customers to listen to you and you need to be equally good at listening to them. Therefore, we believe that you are a natural leader and a strong listener. You are interested in what people have to say and your innovative and creative side means that you ask relevant questions and present new angles to problems.
You have probably worked several years in an adjacent industry and your previous responsibilities could have been either more technical or more business oriented. You have always been interested in the big-picture and in your previous engagement, this will have been apparent. We are a small company and since the product management role is very broad, you don?t mind getting you hands dirty with whatever needs doing to move the product forward.
The position is available in our Stockholm office.
Skills & Experience
Required:
• Strong communicative skills
• Good at seeing the big picture
• Good understanding of business
• Good understanding of technology
• Experience working as an agile product owner or similar
• Fundamental understanding of usability
• Fluency in English
• Must be resident in Sweden
Beneficial:
• Usability experience
• Relevant Industry experience
• Marketing experience including newsletters
• Design knowledge
