You will be part of our Developer Experience organization with the mission to create great developer experience by providing platform products that support high performance & productivity for our software engineers. For us, every software engineer and software team at Volvo Cars is a potential customer, and we are obsessed with understanding our customers and how we can help them to be successful and productive.

What you'll do

You will lead a mature team based in our Gothenburg headquarters. You develop product strategy and a product roadmap based on an integrated understanding of business strategy, objectives, and the possibilities of technology.
You have an entrepreneurial mindset motivated by customer and user satisfaction and can build team performance around a common purpose. You take ownership for your product domain, the well-being of your team and the continuous improvement of your product.
And the biggest challenge of all: you will play an active role in navigating a large, complex organization through the challenges of transformation and as a product leader, be at the heart of developing common beliefs and practices between different business areas - commercial and digital, central and regional, traditional and transformed.

What you'll bring

You are an experienced leader and have experience integrating and supporting cloud-native observability tools like ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, InfluxData, and Azure Monitor. You enjoy working hands-on and have excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. You lead but also actively participate in discussions with stakeholders and your team members. You are an excellent communicator, have proficient writing skills and a great ability to work in a team environment. We also see that you are familiar with agile development methodologies.

As a person, you are tech-savvy, self-driven, outcome-oriented, have a *-as-code mentality and feel comfortable leading and guiding the team toward common goals. You are resilient and a strategic thinker with enterprise-scale, developer experience, and micro-service architecture in mind. You are an expert in monitoring and alerting systems using ElasticStack, InfluxData, OpenSearch, and Grafana. You have strong scripting and automation skills, with experience in Kubernetes, Terraform and Python. You also have experience working closely with application teams to integrate observability tools into the software development life cycle.

You and your skills
To succeed, we believe that your background and skills include:
• Leading and driving product strategy as a Product Manager or equivalent for a minimum of 8 years.
• Strong understanding and practical experience of agile development methodologies in digital product teams.
• Experience with using various tools for managing and visualizing the progress and value of a product team.
• High integrity and a bias for action will make you successful in this role.
