The Role
As a strategic leader at TripStack, your primary responsibility will be to support the Director of Product (based in Canada) with Airline API & Consolidator Connections. You will oversee every step of the product lifecycle including content acquisition, strategic planning, tactical initiatives, vision, roadmap, development, and distribution/optimization.
Responsibilities
Understanding and representing client needs
Keep internal technical teams accountable for quality output and product delivery
Represent the voice of the end consumer and the business throughout the development process
Ensure a competitive product offering, continually optimizing based on internal/external needs
Define the product roadmap for API/NDC
Align stakeholders around the vision for the product
Effectively prioritize product features, considering a variety of key factors
Work with technical teams to ensure operating processes are in place and client SLAs are met
Closely oversee the technical integration of APIs and understand the architecture behind the scenes
Monitor profitability with a focus on always working to improve unit economics
Complete regular market analysis always having an eye on the competitive landscape
Interview, onboard, and manage direct reports
Establish strong relationships with Airlines and Consolidators, attending regular check-in meetings with a focus of growing collective partnerships.
Requirements
Strategic thinker with critical decision making skills
Strong experience in data-backed decision making/statistics/market research
Output and delivery driven; experience working under pressure in a fast-paced role with significant context switching
Highly influential, proactive leader with a strong business acumen
Strong technical skills and extensive experience with API integrations
Outstanding multitasking and project management skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Passion for research, problem solving and root cause analysis
Team player demonstrating awesome leadership skills and desire to help develop and inspire employees
Meritorious
Previous experience in sales & management is considered an asset as well as well-rounded travel industry experience (with focus on NDC, GDS or Consolidators).
