Product Manager
The facility in Köping functions as the transmission center within Volvo Group?s Powertrain Production and there is continuous development work within the Center of Excellence framework for the transmission area. There are currently 1500 people employed at the facilities in Köping.
Job Description:
As Project manager, you will be a part of the Production Preparation section and PD Marin. The group consists of 18 people and the division functions as a link between product development and production. You will have full responsibility for a product, including development, quality control and budgeting. Additionally, you will be responsible for product delivery and product support. As Project Manager, you will coordinate product issues locally at the Köping facility and globally within Operations.
As Project Manager, your primary tasks will consist of the following:
Represent production in the global product maintenance team
Responsible for managing the product maintenance team?s prioritized activities and goals (locally and globally) as well as securing product commonality
Coordinate product related issues between the various functions and plants
Ensure approval of required investments and budgets for start-up costs connected to product maintenance (locally and globally)
Initiate relevant activities with the purpose of quality secured product change introduction.
Qualifications:
To function in this role, you will need an academic degree within a relevant field of study as well as proven project management experience. You should feel comfortable with cost plans, activity schedules and timelines as well as pricing procedures and accounting. We would like to see candidates with product knowledge and good GDP skills. Spoken and written Swedish and English are essential as well as proficiency with MS Office.

You should be an ambitious person with high energy, a strong inner drive and an open personality. The optimal candidate will have the ability to lead others in projects in a positive manner and drive the team fo Union representatives rward to completion. Working independently and with the customer in mind comes naturally to you and your professional and holistic view is a given. You must be able to think and act strategically to drive development forward.
