The Team
At Industry Solutions we are 12+ experienced Product Managers in the team and organize ourselves into four different Industry teams (Critical Community Services / Building & Construction / Postal, Retail & Manufacturing / Forestry & Agriculture). Industry Solutions is responsible for further developing the vehicle and solutions offer throughout the world, from Nordic European distributors to Asian and Latin America markets.
You will be immerged in a truly international and diverse environment, both from the people you will have contact with and from your co-workers. What will you do:
Your main responsibility is to secure the business development within your assigned areas (application, industry, market or special assignment), by initiating and follow up activities both within Scania factory and with markets all over the world. This is done in close cooperation with colleagues at S&M and different stakeholders at e.g. Commercial Operations, R&D and Business Units. Building a big and strong network all over Scania will be important in order to succeed! Part of your role will also be to participate in different market introductions, from coordinating, being the product expert to follow-up on deliveries.
As a Product Manager you will be responsible for a number of applications in the field of Postal, Retail & Manufacturing Industry. And more specifically in applications among Shipping container, Swap body, Volume cargo, General cargo, Temperature controlled.
You will develop an understanding for the technical parts of the product as well as building knowledge about the specific customer needs and trends today and in the future. This knowledge is gained by interacting, visiting and working close to our Business Units and customers worldwide, as well as participating in fairs and events.
You will set the business strategies for your applications and you will take ownership on their implementation. That summed with responsibility to launch market introduction projects where you will work to guarantee the right content, pricing and launch strategies.
Who you are:
You should have interest in working with both Scania's product and commercial offering, not only from a vehicle perspective but specially from a combined vehicle, services and connected solutions. You have several years with hands on experience working with any of the following: transport and logistics business, trucks knowhow, spare parts and services,
• Fast learner, being able to quickly shift between more technical and analytical tasks to strategic and commercial views.
• Since our main customers are the Business Units all over the globe, travelling will be part of the role.
• Flexibility and being able to adapt into different cultural environments are crucial.
• Self driven, and proactiveness setting activities and plans to achieve the strategic questions assigned to you;
