JOB DESCRIPTION
As Product Manager you will have the main responsibility for a specific category of products, encoders and decoders,
and you will manage the entire product life cycle - from strategic planning to tactical activities. You will have high focus on promoting the encoder/decoder solutions to the market and take lead and drive go-to-market plans and market activities for your products. You will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new products based on Axis industry experience, contact with the market and new innovations.
As a Product Manager it is important to enjoy spending time in the market to understand their needs, and based on that specify innovative solutions for the market. You must have broad experience from both business and technology, preferably from the video surveillance industry.
You will work in a team with a product specialist and you must be able to communicate with all areas of the company.
You will work closely with other product managers to secure a complete Axis product offering. You will work with project managers to define product requirements. You will work with the marketing department to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer.
High level list of responsibilities;
• Excellent understanding of the competition and market needs
• Take an active part in market and sales activities to promote your products
• Inform and train the sales force at new product launches
• Define product strategy and roadmap for your product category
• Define products to meet and fulfill the strategy and roadmaps
• Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
Travelling will be required up to 40 days a year
YOURQUALIFICATIONS
The right candidate has a bachelor's degree with minimum of
5 years experience as a product manager or other equivalent experience. You are knowledgeable in technology and have demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products.
We believe you have excellent understanding of business and market dynamics and have technical knowledge about Axis cameras. You have proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority and you communicate fluently in English.
As a person you're structured in the way of solving and attacking tasks and issues. You have a flexible mindset, enjoy high pace and are open to change. You are socially skilled and have the ability to manage and perform in a multi cultural environment with international contacts and you're always open to customers and colleagues.
PRODUCT MANAGEMENT - VIDEO PRODUCTS
Product Management Video Products is responsible for the Network Cameras, Encoders/Decoders and Accessories product offerings. This includes product planning, managing the products' life cycle, and handling of complex support issues escalated from local support teams. Our interfaces are both internal such as R&D, Sales & Marketing and Operations as well as external customers, partners and suppliers.
