We are now looking for one or potentially two experienced persons to take on this important and challenging work within our Electronic and Electrical Architecture organization.
Organization
EE Platform (EEP) is part of the Electronic and Electrical Architecture (EEA) organization which governs and manages the EE platform for trucks, its infrastructure, the related toolchain and a set of systems and functions. EEP is responsible for defining and managing the Electrical, Electronic and embedded Software System through the product lifecycle, as a platform.
Our vision at Electrical EEP is to be an inspiring and value adding competence in the development of Electrical, Electronic (EE) and Software system and platform, serving all transport solution needs through an efficient product structure, aspiring to enable a holistic self-orchestrating product workflow.
The Product Information Management group within EEP is responsible for building and maintaining an efficient product information management structure to support current and coming product development as well as contributing with Configuration and Product Data Management for the EE platform.
This is done by defining, developing and maintaining the way of working in terms of product information data on a system and platform level as well as performing and managing documentation and releases in the process. We are also supporting and providing training to teams and stream across sites and brands within the organization on the required way of working procedures.
The role
You will be the one driving the development of the Product Information Model as well as the implementation of its usage within our complete development organization.
This will include interactions with several stakeholders (experts and development teams in the different sub-domains such as testing, cyber security, functional safety) within various part of our organization, both to discuss and align proposals and also to educate and give hands-on support on how to make use of the Product Information Model.
Who are you?
To succeed in this role you need to have a strong belief in the benefits of having a Product Information Model (i.e. a Volvo domain-specific modeling language as an extension to the standard UML) and its usage and advantages for driving good and structured product solutions.
You should have the ability to drive work in a structured and thorough way and have a positive attitude to teamwork, you are willing to take own initiatives as well as being able to seek support from colleagues in order to find solutions.
We believe that you are well knowledgeable in embedded system solutions, how functions and services are realized through the application SW, the electronics (ECUs) and the electrical components (sensors, actuators, etc.)
It is of great benefit that you have previous experience as a system architect or system engineer/developer with knowledge within the automotive domain.
You need to have an understanding of and your own idea of what product information/documentation that would be required to develop and maintaining a system platform going into the future.
You need to be very well oriented with Object oriented design thinking and Service-based architecture and being able to use your UML knowledge to discuss on and define the Product Information Model
Key competences:
AUTOSAR and Adaptive AUTOSAR
Knowledge of modern system architecture and design patterns
UML
Sparx Enterprise Architect as an UML tool
Experiences with standards in automotive industry such as
R155 (w.r.t Cyber Security)
ISO26262 (w.r.t Functional Safety)
Evaluation and interview will start after Swedish summer vacation period.
