Westermo is currently recruiting for reinforcements in the Product Introduction and Improvement team in Västerås
So, who are we looking for?
Westermo offers a wide range of products designed for harsh environments. The products have a long lifecycle and continuous improvements as well as major upgrades of the products are vital. Key resource in this process is the product introduction and improvement team. We are now looking for a candidate to further strengthen this team.
You will be working continuously with product improvements and will have technical responsibility for several released products or product families. You will drive different improvement tasks, this includes hardware design projects, technical evaluations and root cause analysis.
You are responsible for the product documentation and drive changes on the products together with the technical lead engineer for each product. You will also work closely together with our production engineers to get approval of changes in production.
Main tasks include:
• Execute continuous improvements regarding products, product documentation and obsolescence management
• Handle technical questions from product management or other parts of R&D
• Handle product documentation and quality assure product changes in close cooperation other parts of the organisation
Personal Experience
We want you as a candidate to have a few years of experience from a role within hardware design or testing of electronic equipment. You preferably have a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering or similar. Experience of industrial products, products for trains or other demanding applications is meritorious.
As a person you are structured and organized. You must be fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken. You have good and clear communication skills and work well with colleagues You are used to handling many tasks and can prioritize and switch between tasks if necessary.
