Are you a constructive and customer-oriented engineer? Do you wish to have an influential role in the design of car interiors? We are looking for a Product Engineer for a consultant role to provide expertise in the areas of design and manufacture of car interior components.
The Product Engineer will be part of the build to print program that will work towards a large automotive industry customer and as such hold internal ownership of a number of components. You will be the link between the project manager and the engineers. As Product Engineer you must lead and coordinate the actions from first 3D model until PPAP is received from customer in co-ordination with Quality Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME), and Program Management (PM). In this role you will be communicating within the company and report to the PM and, when applicable, also directly to the Sales department. Externally you will be communicating directly with the customer about engineering topics.

Personality:
As Product Engineer - Build, you need social skills in order to attend various sorts of customer meetings of utmost importance. You have the ability to summarize information, facts and opinions into concrete action plans. You must be flexible to quickly adapt to new opinions or facts from customer or internal directives. Furthermore you must have the ability to make and accept simple tasks like delivery of engineering samples to customer and packaging of rejected parts for dispatch to our factories etc.
Competence Requirements:
Knowledge in plastic parts is needed. For this position you require an engineering degree and at least a few years experience from the automotive industry. We like to see that you have knowledge about APQP, PPAP, drawing and measurements as well as administrative procedures within the automotive industry.
Preferably you have knowledge about Vehicle Interiors design, but also, experience & knowledge from plastic parts production process is highly meritorious. Fluency in English is an absolute must and Swedish is definitely an advantage.
Software skills:
• Important to have strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
• Knowledge or interest in learning Visview TC to quickly understand technical design details.
• Knowledge or interest in learning in-house PLM system. No need for any CAD skills.
You must be living in Sweden and have access to your own vehicle. After a quick introduction you will need to attend customer meetings on a regular basis - a few times per week. In addition you must be willing to travel and visit factories in Europe upon request.
